We are looking to fill the following positions to help develop our award-winning line of products for the digital photography market.
Video Product Manager
This position is responsible for defining marketing and product requirements for a new line of plug-ins for video editing applications such as After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and Avid. This position requires the ability to work with cross-functional teams to coordinate a successful product delivery and launch.
The position involves close interaction with key stakeholders throughout the development life cycle including: key customers, industry influencers, marketing, sales, customer service, technical support, and product developers.
The Video Product Manager will create and prioritize functional product specifications and requirements for a new line of video plug-in products as well as perform competitive analysis of current and future product offerings. The Video Product Manager will also serve as the primary internal and external advocate for the product line and how it helps customers solve the problems they face.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with key customers, industry influencers, sales and marketing as part of product related information gathering to ensure usability, adoption, and satisfaction
- Development of product strategy to expand product opportunities and revenue growth
- Preparation of product requirements documents, along with customer use cases and workflows
- Maintain competitive research and analysis
- Establish consistent and effective communication channels with key constituents
- Remain current on industry innovations, issues and market trends
- Review and evaluate product development deliverables on a continual basis to ensure that requirements are being properly addressed
- Partner with marketing to ensure successful product launch
- Conduct internal training for sales, technical support and customer service
Education & Professional Qualifications:
- BA/BS in business/marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience in the video software market or similar experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with NLE video editing software and third-party plug-ins
Skills & Qualities:
- Ability to effectively collect and analyze market input from various internal and external resources
- Highly motivated with strong desire to expand the company's business opportunity and grow revenue
- Creative and resourceful to blend industry needs with business strategy to enhance existing and develop new compelling product plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (writing samples will be required)
- Hands-on experience with Avid, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop
- Domestic and International travel (approximately 15%)
