About Scott

Scott Stulberg is an award-winning photographer and teaches digital photography and Photoshop in Los Angeles at UCLA Extension and the Julia Dean Photo Workshops and at the Art Wolfe Digital Photography Center in Seattle. He has run Macintosh Photoshop User Groups for many years, where they deal with the latest software and tips and tricks. Scott also leads photo workshops in the US and abroad but his main focus is shooting stock photography, represented by Corbis and Getty Images among others. Whether it's 2am in Bangkok in the suffocating humidity or paragliding 5,000 feet up in the air, Scott always has his camera nearby.

"I've had many gifts in my life... but maybe the best one of all was the camera my father gave me when I was ten years old. A few years later a whole new world opened up for me when my parents built a darkroom for me in our basement. Under the safelights, smelling chemicals and listening to music, I lost all track of time watching my images come to life. Although I've been using Photoshop for many years, it was the countless hours in the darkroom that made me fall in love with photography.

The transition to digital was a natural fit for me and I have watched Photoshop grow from its humble beginnings. I love all the software that has been designed for Photoshop and I wrote a book on my favorite Photoshop plug-ins, showing many favorites that I cannot live without. Two of my favorites are FocalPoint & PhotoTools from onOne Software.
