Andy Kruczek

For the past 25 years, Andy has worked around the world as a photographer in the Fashion, Beauty and Advertising sectors. Most recently he has become recognised as one of the foremost photographers within the UK hairdressing Industry. Entirely self-taught, Andy has, throughout his career, worked across all formats from half frame to 8x10. He first started using digital cameras in 1992 before moving to a completely digital workflow in 2001. He now shoots on full frame DSLRs and medium format backs.

Award winning and widely published, Andy provides high quality imagery for editorial, advertising and packaging use and has worked with such well known brands as Wella, Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal and Regis International.

Working with both rising stars and established names on the UK hairdressing scene, Andy's photography has gained considerable success in many competitions and awards, most notably winning the UK Barber of the Year competition for three years in succession (2006, 2007, 2008).

Andy's photography has been seen in Vogue, Company, Hairdressers Journal, Woman, Black Hair and Beauty, Good Housekeeping, Real Salons, Empire Stores Catalogues and many other magazines and publications.

A long serving member of the prestigious, UK based, Association of Photographers Andy has, in addition to achieving recognition as a photographer, become a well known face on the lecture circuit; conducting regular seminars, workshops and demonstrations around the UK, in association with Canon Cameras, Calumet and Leaf Digital Imaging.

The creative use of modern software tools, underpinned by a solid background in traditional photographic techniques forms the basis of Andy's approach to image making. After researching the many available tools on the market, Andy finds Mask Pro 4.1 is the software solution of choice for complex cut-outs and compositing techniques.

"The speed, accuracy and quality of Mask-Pro 4.1 allows me to concentrate purely on the image and not let technical issues get in the way of the creative image making process."
