Before turning her talents to photography, Kersti worked nearly 15 years for famous French luxury brands, such as Christian Dior, Givenchy and Chanel. Early in her career, she became reknowned for her talent as a make-up artist and in 1985 was appointed the prestigious position of Christian Dior's "National Make-up Artist". For the next five years she traveled constantly, working her "magic" on thousands of faces.

Kersti's innate sense of style, personal flair and understanding of the luxury market led to several other exciting positions within this industry. During her long career, she gained tremendous exposure to the world of fashion, beauty and style as she traveled between Paris, New York, San Francisco and nearly every major city in the United States.

During her years on the road, she picked up a camera and started photographing European architecture. On her days off, she would find herself wandering the streets of Paris, or climbing to the top of Notre Dame Cathedral to photograph ancient gargoyles. Soon, Kersti had amassed a large collection of black & white fine art architectural images, never imagining that photography would eventually become her career.

Kersti's love of the arts started at a very early age and developed into a life long passion. She grew up in a European atmosphere saturated with history, art, music, theater, ballet and opera. This immersion in European culture, the years in the fashion industry and the love of the arts have been major influences in shaping the extraordinary artistic vision Kersti brings to her photography.

Kersti has been a professional photographer for 12 years. She has won countless awards for her photography, and is highly respected within the photographic industry. She has become well-known for her innovative style, excellent technical skills and sensitive approach to portraiture. Her work has appeared in exhibits, numerous books, magazines and international publications.

Kersti has an international clientele and is available for private portrait commisions. She is based in the San Francisco Area and in Northern Europe. Among other publications, her work has appeared in the following publications:
